The
Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) with its
Head Office at Calcutta
has around 3000 Members all over India. The basic objective
of IIF is |

National
Centre for Technical Services (NCTS) with
its office at Pune plays a very important and useful
role in meeting this objective. Objective of NCTS is |

The
most important resource of NCTS is its Panel
of technical experts. These experts have
a combined experience of over 400 years and are willing
to spare their valuable time to meet the technical needs
of the foundry industry. |

These contain practical
hints for practicing foundrymen. These are written by
an expert and reviewed by other experts before publishing. |

Technical
Data Base:
Technical articles from various journals and magazines
are collected and data stored. |

Video
Films and CDs:
NCTS has produced 12 video cassettes and 4 CDs on
foundry related topics. |

Replying
to the queries of practicing foundrymen.
Normally querries are replied free of cost to IIF Members. |
| |
|
|
However,
if special expertise or a visit is necessary, these
services are on charge basis. |
| |
Other

This project work is completed and report published
by R&D Centre IIF. |

of Foundry Waste Sand in building industry":
Construction and Scientific Research Centre, Pune
and Indian Concrete Institute - Pune Chapter conducted
the necessary tests. This report is published by R&D
