Dear Members,

The National Council has decided to make bench-marking exercise of various foundry practices for SME foundries. The NCTS has undertaken this task to make a successful exercise towards that goal. The NCTS office with the eminent panel of the experts is working on the project.

The project will be successful only with the participation of our members. The entire gamet of foundry practices from consumption norms of raw materials, energy efficient melting practices, variety of moulding practices, good fettling practice etc. will be studied and different bench marks for respective processes will be obtained.

It is needless to say that the bench marking is a dynamic process and the exercise will be continuous.

The bench marking will be available to the member companies for the improvement in their manufacturing practices.

The NCTS office either directly or through your IIF Chapter offices will interact with you. Please cooperate and share the information.

With this mission statement I request you all to participate in the project wholeheartedly. The exercise will help to bring Indian foundries to become more competitive in today's international market with enhance profitability.
